After working for a number of years in the corporate, retail and inbound travel industry in senior management positions and seeing an opportunity in the cruising market way back in 1996 Chris Hunoldt decided to set-up his own company specialising in cruises offering the entire travel experience around a cruise.
In 1996 cruising was still very much an unknown travel experience for most South Africans so the years up to around 2004 were very much pioneering years for Cruises-for-Africa with only a handful of cruise specialist travel agencies in the country. The cruise market in South Africa now grows year-on-year with many travel agents selling cruises however many without the years of experience of Chris and Laurette Hunoldt.
Over the years we have cruised over 80 times and have also inspected over 150 cruise ships and river cruise boats. Added to this we have visited 121 countries not only just as ports of call but have also spent time visiting a multitude of inland cities and towns gaining vast experience in world-wide destinations adding to our overall travel experiences and knowledge.
